EcoFleetware

 

 System Description

EcoFleetWare is an info-telematics designed to satisfy the management requirements of the ecological fleet (garbage collection sector) concerning the following:

  •  Vehicle efficiency monitoring and alarm survey ,

  •  Support to the preventive maintenance

  •  Localization, security and management of the emergencies

  •  Report and certification of the supplied service

  •  Service monitoring and regulation.

 System Architecture

The system is organized according to a modular architecture on the basis of the final customer demand and of the monitored vehicle technologic characteristics. The on board architecture permits to carry out complex technologic solutions able to supply competitive reply to the various market requirements. The informative system of ground fleet management (Operations Headquarters) includes the Fleet monitoring central unit and dedicated client for each company duty. The system can also be interfaced with informative system of other parts used or chosen by the customer.


  Communication

The communication between the on board logic unit and the ground management data system is feasible in remote way by the GSM/GPRS mobile telephony network, and /or by a short range transmition data system with BlueTooth technology o WiFi IEEE802.11b. Vehicles Localization The connection with the Operations Headquarters allows a global vision of the vehicles position on the territorial digital cartography. The vehicles position can be updated at all duty events by operator request or by a constant sampling for each vehicle. In detail, from any FleetWare Client emplacement, the system allows:

  •   To display the latest acquired events related to the vehicle position on the road digital map

  •  To display in real time the vehicle position by an operator request

  •  To update, on demand, the position of a vehicle with a polling

  •  To follow the vehicle with a tracking in case of emergency.

 Through dedicated sensors, the system is able to monitor the percentage related to the garbage weight filling up into the compressor device. The carried load survey system is based on the analysis of the vehicle air spring suspension.

 Vehicles Localization

  Loader weight Monitoring

 Data Storage

  The system permits a detailed and timely survey of the essential information regarding the effected duty. The system can be interfaced to the PLC compressor device to store the wear data finalized to the preventive maintenance, for the punctual survey at the moment of the rubbish skip loader. The functioning is based on characteristic data survey relatives to the load stop execute by the vehicle during its duty, transmission of these data to ground, and storage of them in a historical Data Base to be available for further processing.

The stored events are:

  •  Load stop coordinates

  •  Loads number per stop

  •  Load weighing

  •  Stop time

  •  Stop length

  •  Amassed distance covered

The system can perform whether on data transmitted in real time via GSM/GPRS or on data downloaded at the fine of the mission with short-range communication.

 The stored data can be compared with the vehicles assigned program in order to obtain:

  •  The certification for the load stop effected

  •  The automatic survey of irregularity (non load stop, a change of route, etc.)

  •  Necessaries information to plan the optimal vehicle use.

  Service Monitoring  

This module permits to monitor the service in real time with the timely signalling at the operator of the found anomalies.

 Vehicles Anomalies

The survey system permits to acquire, in the headquarters, the anomaly signalling found by the on board diagnostic system as follows:

  •  The automatic signalling of the anomalies serious status, considerable in order to the safety or the mechanical parts protection.

  •  The display of the diagnostic and operative status of the vehicle

  •  The recording of the anomaly signalling onto the fleet vehicles Data Base, found by the vehicle on board diagnostic system at workshop personnel’s disposal for the management of the corrective intervention.

The list of the anomaly status found by the system and the list of the alarms that can produce a spontaneous signalling towards ground, depends on vehicle on board instrumentation. The operator that take on charge the alarm can active a telemetry section that permits the display of the current operative status of the vehicle and the reading of the alarm’s memory recorded on board for the anomaly of remote diagnosis and which kind of intervention to perform, e.g.:

  •  Immediate removal service of the vehicle

  •  Return to depot of the vehicle at the end of the service

  Vehicles utilization data report

The on board system processes a statistical data set conclusive about the vehicle utilization collected from the start of the vehicle life and finalized to the programmed maintenance. These data can be displayed and stored on the vehicle database on operator request by any client.

 Mission statistical Data

For each daily mission performed by the vehicle, the on board system processes a detailed statistical data set on the vehicle utilization and functioning collected during the working day. These data contains useful information to analyse characteristic, correct utilization of the vehicle, and also for the wear predictive diagnosis monitoring.

  Emergency Call

The Emergency Call can be activated by a Pedal or a push-button, it permits an automatic call for help to the operations headquarters to signal a serious service anomaly. After this the qualified operator can establish a voice connection with the driver to manage the emergency. In case of operator absence it is possible to activate emergency SMS and or e-mail sending to stored addressees.

  Communication with the driver

  • The system can be equipped with a speaker and a microphone for the vocal connection with the operations headquarters.
